This five-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath residence is carefully calibrated to fit within the East Hampton town-mandated maximum floor area of 2,800 square feet. Every inch of space is deliberately allocated to support the clients’ needs, resulting in a single-family home that integrates appropriately within the surrounding context while accommodating contemporary living in an environmentally sensitive setting. Sited adjacent to a protected dune area, the building’s orientation, form, and materiality respond directly to the town’s rigorous permitting requirements. This project was done in collaboration with Brad Hooks design office, renderings by Adam Spychala.
